The normal minimum is one 20ft container of 25 MT — 1,000 bags of 25 kg.

Bulk density versus crystal density
2.13 g/cm³ is the true density of pure sodium hydroxide and is the figure most datasheets print. For stowage, silo sizing and container planning use the bulk density — 1,100–1,300 kg/m³ for flakes. Confusing the two is a common cause of wrongly planned container weights.

KKDIK — Turkish REACH
Substances placed on the Turkish market must be registered through the KKS system. Full registration deadlines: 31 December 2026 for 1,000 t/y and above, 31 December 2028 for 100 t/y and above, 31 December 2030 for 1 t/y and above. Manufacturers outside Türkiye appoint a Turkish Only Representative.
SEA — classification and labelling
Türkiye’s GHS-based counterpart of EU CLP. Sodium hydroxide is Skin Corr. 1A (H314) and Met. Corr. 1 (H290). Labels and safety data sheets for the Turkish market must be in Turkish, prepared by a certified chemical assessment expert.
KDV — Turkish VAT
Domestic sales carry KDV at 20%, normally recoverable by a registered business. Exports are zero-rated, so an FOB Mersin invoice carries no Turkish VAT and domestic list prices are not directly comparable with export levels.
ADR road transport
Truck deliveries move under ADR as Class 8, packing group II, with orange plates, placards and a driver holding an ADR certificate — arranged by us for DAP deliveries in Türkiye and to neighbouring countries.
